Leave the gun. Take the cannoli.

I have never been a big fan of the Godfather movies. I know that they are critically acclaimed films; I even know many of the more famous lines. The actual love for the movies seems to be more of a guy thing. Despite this limited Godfather knowledge, there was something "Godfather-esque" about Michael Steele's (RNC Chair) take on how the Republican Senators (all three of them) who backed the economic stimulus package should be handled by the GOP. Here is the Huffington Post's report on the interview:
During an appearance on Your World with Neil Cavuto yesterday, Michael Steele told the host that he was "open to" punishing Senators Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, and Arlen Specter for their votes on the stimulus package, by withholding RNC monies for their re-election bids. He then said he was "open to everything, baby," because that's his bold shtick: inserting the word "baby" into everything.
I am attaching the clip from Fox News:

I am in no way saying that the GOP wants to physically harm Senators Collins, Spector, and Snowe. It does feel, however, that there is some sense of "you voted for the stimulus - you brought dishonor to our family." The family, in this case, is the GOP.
Before I end, I just wanted to include a brief snippet of my favorite Godfather line. Peter Clemenza (played by Richard Castellano) utters it right after Paulie Gotto is shot in the head. In one short phrase it demonstrates that business is business, and that family comes first (Clemenza's wife had asked him to bring home dessert). Here is the short clip below:
