It's Limbaugh Time - How low can he go?

Rush Limbaugh is at it again.  Asserting his foot into the conservative Republican landscape.  In some ways, it is actually a good thing.  It means that there is no other Republican force, at least at this current time, who is powerful enough to get the neo-conservative airways going.  Limbaugh made a statement about his wanting Obama to fail - or at least his "socialist" agenda - in so many words.  President Obama responded, stating to the GOP leaders that, “you can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done."

Rush Limbaugh is about attention and ratings.  He has managed to get both of these things for years now.  I wondered how his radio show would survive once the Clintons were out of the White House - but it did.  Hey, Presidents George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush even called Limbaugh during his anniversary show to thank him for all that he has done for the Republican party.

The one thing that we must keep in focus now, is that this is not 2000.  This time, Rush Limbaugh's call to action in "Operation Chaos" did not work.  Hillary Clinton did not win the primaries, and John McCain did not win the Presidential elections.  It wasn't even close.  The Limbaugh approach did not work, and people - particularly Democrats - need to keep that in mind.  Limbaugh discouraged McCain in going with someone like Lieberman for his Vice President, and Sarah Palin was costly to McCain. Limbaugh may portray himself as the new "architect," but his design collapsed. We need to remember that, as well as remember how good it feels to have an educated, articulate, balanced, level-headed, President in the White House.  2012 will be here soon enough.
