Hypocrisy in Camelot

Now it is completely understandable.   According to the Huffington Post, Governor James Paterson did not intend to pick Caroline Kennedy to fill Hillary Clinton's former NY Senate Seat. Caroline recently withdrew her name from the "pickings," but many feel that she did not expect to be chosen.  Sources close to Paterson say that he was not happy with the results from some of the early vetting of Caroline.  Kirsten Gillibrand (photo on right) was leaked as Patterson's major person of consideration for the open seat.

The Huffington Post writes:  that Paterson never intended to pick her due to issues over taxes, her nanny and even the state of her marriage. Kennedy was "mired in some potentially embarrassing personal issues," the source said, citing tax liabilities and worker compensation liabilities connected to the employment of a nanny.  "She has a tax problem that came up in the vetting and a potential nanny issue," the source said. "And reporters are starting to look at her marriage more closely," the source continued, refusing to provide any specifics.

I don't know about you, but I find the whole decision refreshing.  Governer Patterson (extramarital affairs) seemed to want to prevent Caroline Kennedy from having embarrassing information being released about her and/or her family.  Paterson and his wife (extramarital affairs - some with state workers) understand that being a high-level politician,  brings with it the responsibility for a certain standard of moral ethics.  That is something that Paterson learned from his mentor, the former Governor of New York, Eliot Spitzer (Emperor's Club).  Spitzer (high priced prostitution ring) would have expected nothing less from his former Lieutenant Governor.  Thankfully, there are still some ethical politicians left in this world, to help save Caroline Kennedy from herself.
