POETRY - this post is dedicated to my friend Barb, who has witnessed much of the journey mentioned below, first hand.

Sometimes it is difficult to understand the poetry or flow of something, while other times it seems so natural and elegant, that it's meaning and interpretation could only be hard-wired. To me, that is the poetic nature involved in the fact that Barack Obama's inauguration day tomorrow, comes the day after Martin Luther King Day today. It took what Martin Luther King did throughout his lifetime - such as the March in Washington in 1963 - for us to have gotten where we are right now. I know, as Robert Frost wrote, that we have "miles to go before we sleep;" but, at least we have taken a forward step in our journey. Speaking of poetry, here is a little clip from 1963's March on Washington, with a very young Bob Dylan and Joan Baez.
